Volvo gay

Apparently, we as a society are so wrapped up in the idea of how &#;gay&#; objects, clothing styles, and activities are that we can&#;t even leave automobiles out of it! Thus, the guys at Car Talk, those true caterers of vehicle conversation, have come up with these: lists of the top 10 gay and lesbian cars. Let&#;s take a look, shall we?

Car Talk took a completely non-scientific poll and queried their lesbian and gay listeners, and apparently some straight and bisexual people, too, asking for nominations of the leading queer vehicles.

8. Ford Ranger
7. Nissan X-Terra
6. Geo Tracker
5. Honda CR-V
4. Ford F
3. Jeep Wrangler
2. Subaru Forester
1. Subaru Outback

Honda CR-V? I don&#;t care that you &#;saw a ton of them in the parking lot at Lillith Fair,&#; my father drives a Honda CR-V. That SUV is forever ruined to me as some kind of lesbian icon. But as a Gunmanian, I am pretty cheerful to see not one but two Subaru vehicles making the list. If you didn&#;t know it, Subaru&#;s Japanese factory is in Gunma Prefecture, part of the Tokyo Regional A

MAY 15, . Gay families, previously hidden away in the suburbs, are now starting to make their way into advertising. Volvo Cars of North America is taking its heritage of safety and family appeal a step further by introducing its modern SUV with the first national car ad picturing happy gay couples posed with a child or dog.

Volvo's output campaign for the XC90 shows two men and a baby, and a woman embracing her pregnant partner, with the headline, "Whether you're starting a family or creating one as you go." Another image shows two men pictured with the C70 sedan warmly embracing their Yorkie.

The text reads, "Some families are carefully planned. Others, you just meet along the way. Whoever makes up your family, think about making Volvo a part of it." The ad also says Volvo will donate $ to the Human Rights Campaign when a vehicle is purchased or leased.

The print effort targets men and women ages and runs from May to August in OUT and The Advocate, which will also carry a gay family essay contest at It is the second phase of a campaign for the XC90 that began in February

Introduction

Volvo is a Swedish manufacturing company. Volvo Cars was sold to Ford Motor Company in , and since it has been owned by the Geely Holding Group, a Chinese multinational company.

NB: the production, distribution and sale of trucks, buses and construction equipment is still in Swedish hands. Remarkably, both companies share the same logo. In this article I look at the brand, which sometimes belongs to Cars and sometimes to Trucks.

Corporate policy

The Volvo Group website states: &#;We are passionate about diversity at Volvo Group! Seriously, when we talk about passion as a core value, we&#;re talking about how Volvo&#;s diverse and inclusive work environment fuels our passion. We are a pioneer among European industrial technology companies. Our global V-Eagle LGBT+ network was first established in our sector 15 years ago. In the US, we launched the recognition of same-sex couples and relevant benefits before legal status existed. We know that work and private life are increasingly intersecting, and we should all be free to share who we are, both at wo

I must inform you of my shock and surprise at hearing you utter that the new Beetle is a chick auto. I was so sure that it was a gay-guy car that my partner and I decided, after 10 years of domestic bliss, to purchase our very first car: a dark-blue new Beetle.

About a week later, a friend of mine from upstate sent me an urgent fax which quite obviously confirmed my assumption. It read: "News flash: two cute gay guys spotted exiting a brand new canary yellow Beetle in downtown Trumansburg."

What do I drive? A Wrangler. (And a VW Jetta for the good mileage.) It's a regular boy-magnet!

Being a vehicle nut as well as being gay, I verb eminently qualified to grant you the lowdown. Gay cars: Lexus, Honda, and any convertible. Lesbian cars: Chevy C20 pickups with manual steering and a straight six (forgive the pun).

But who really cares what lesbians drive? They are never around to help fix your car when it breaks down anyway. For the record, I drive a Buick Park Avenue

I am a lesbian who drives a Volvo wagon. I love Volvos, espec
