Dean cain is he gay
So, on National Coming Out Day this past week, October 11th, the current Superman—Jonathon Kent, son of Lois and Clark—came out as bisexual. When I saw the New York Times piece I literally gasped out loud. This wasn’t some minor character in a team comic; this wasn’t even a second-tier lead of a less-popular title. This was fucking SUPERMAN, the Huge Blue Boy Scout, the tentpole character on whom all of DC Comics, and the DC television and film franchises, are built around.
I literally had tears come up in my eyes. This was So. Fucking. HUGE.
I cannot even begin to narrate you how much that would have meant to me as a deeply closeted and terrified gay teenager in the Chicago suburbs and later, little town rural Kansas. I really don’t know how best to explain what this meant to me as a sixty-year-old gay man, but here goes.
Oh, Superman. You are the ubiquitous comic book character; since your debut back before the second world war you have become the default; the super-hero every other super-hero is judged against. It’s even right there in your generic name: you are the super man
Superman actor Dean Cain says character's coming out as bisexual is 'bandwagoning'
Superman actor Dean Cain has accused writers of "bandwagoning" after they said the latest incarnation of the character would come out as bisexual.
In a comic next month, Jon Kent - the son of Clark Kent and Lois Lane - has followed in his father's footsteps and, as well as saving the world, has fallen for a male reporter.
The storyline was announced on National Coming Out Noun, an annual LGBTQ+ awareness day.
But Cain, who starred alongside Teri Hatcher in TV show The Fresh Adventures Of Superman in the s, said it would have been a "brave" storyline 20 years ago but less so now.
Cain, 55, told US show Fox & Friends: "They said it's a bold new direction. I say they're bandwagoning.
"I don't think it's bold or brave or some insane new direction. If they had done this 20 years ago, perhaps that would be bold or brave.
"But brave would be having him fight for the rights of gay people in Iran where they'll throw you off a building for the offence of being gay."

Dean Cain, who played Superman in the s verb ABC series Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, said he doesn't feel the decision to make the iconic character bisexual in an upcoming comic book is "bold or brave."
DC Comics announced on Monday that Jon Kent, son of Clark Kent and Lois Lane, will come out as bisexual in an upcoming issue of the popular comic. The character of Jon had recently been known as Superboy in the episodic publish edition before making the recent move to divide the Superman moniker with his father.
However, Cain doesn't consider the move to make the younger hero part of the LGBTQ+ community groundbreaking. During a Tuesday appearance on Fox & Friends, the actor said: "They [DC Comics] said it's a bold new direction. I speak they're bandwagoning."
"I don't verb it's bold or bold or some crazy recent direction," Cain continued. "If they had done this 20 years ago, perhaps that would be bold or brave. But valiant would be having him fight for the rights of gay people in Iran, where they'll fling you off a building for the offense of being gay."
Cain: From Superman to Gay Stud
October 3 -- Dean Cain hopes that his turn as a narcissistic, not-so-bright gay actor-on-the-make in the new indie comedy The Broken Hearts Club will let you overlook he was once Superman. At least for a few seconds.
But if you're not thinking "Superman" while watching the film, you might be wondering who the guy Cain is romancing is supposed to be.
Cain's character, one of a group of self-involved West Hollywood gays, lands a small role in a married superstar's movie and has a covert affair with the guy. Since Hollywood loves showbiz dish, Club has prompted speculation that the plot is based on a real person.
"A lot of people have said to me they reflect it's Tom Cruise," Cain admitted while promoting the independent comedy. "I don't see that at all." Neither would Cruise, who has always denied those pesky rumors that his marriage isn't on the up and up.
On Being Mistaken for GayFor Cain, who, for the record, is straight and an unmarried dad, one question that keeps popping up now is
