Mykonos has long enjoyed its worldwide reputation as a gay vacation hotspot. Much more so than other places I’ve written about, such as Sitges or Gran Canaria – probably only rivaling Amsterdam in terms of reputation. But similar to Amsterdam, that reputation seems to be at least partially fading. That doesn’t signify, however, that I don’t recommend visiting Mykonos, especially if one of your prime motivations is to get your rocks off. Mandela Way woods, MetroCentre, Gateshead, Tyne and Wear
This is the busiest and adj outdoor cruising area in Newcastle and Gateshead. I have seen lots of fit young guys fucking in the bushes, during afternoons and early evening. It is a vast 55, sq metres of woods and bushes, which is very cruisy and attracts guys from all over the north of England. The area is very overgrown and untamed, screened off from the street by dense vegetation.
Mandela Way runs from Metro Centre railway station adj to CostCo cash and carry. There are three laybys (two on the left, one on the right) where you can park. Or for discretion you can park 5 mins away at the Blue car park at Metro Centre, in Delta Bank Road, or at Costco itself.

During the Day
All of the Beaches are very cruisy during the day, especially the ones we include listed in our beaches guide, complete with maps and directions. There is also a long stretch of cruising between L&#;Estanyol beach and the Terramar hotel as boys produce their way to Playa del Muerto.
The forest behind &#;Dead Mans Beach&#; is especially popular during the Spring and Summer months. It gets busy from early afternoon and peaks at around 5pm as people make their way back from the beach to Sitges. Locals Spanish guys in their cars tend to park and cruise also during this time. Have fun but be careful of your belongings. Oh and yes, orgies have been known to happen.
