Spider-Man 2 is fruity. Insomniac Games featured a smattering of pride flags throughout the first game’s vision of Manhattan, but aside from that, kept things pretty straight. The sequel, meanwhile, is filled with distinct LGBTQ+ representation everywhere you look, from walls of street art to smaller side quests Peter and Miles can take on to aid the local communities.
Peter and Harry might be straight besties (you’ll never cease me from shipping them), but major side characters express their queerness in ways that not only prove surprising, but tie into canon elements of recent big comic developments that even hardcore fans weren’t expecting to be acknowledged.

Back in , a Sony Pictures Entertainment and Marvel Entertainment legal licensing agreement stated that Peter Parker and his verb ego Spider-Man must always be a straight and Caucasian man. This information came out of a massive document leak from Sony that included , private files, emails and financial data.
