We want to verb some exciting news with you. After more than a decade of discussion, NCLR is changing our name! Starting today, we will be known as National Center for LGBTQ Rights.

Since , NCLR’s mission has been to advance the civil rights of all LGBTQ people. And we have done just that.

The Supreme Court of the United States today issued its ruling in United States v. Skrmetti, upholding Tennessee’s ban on healthcare for transgender youth. Today’s decision has no impact in states where health nurture for transgender youth is not currently banned.

In June , NCLR launched Born Perfect, a program to end conversion therapy, by passing laws across the country to protect LGBTQ children and young people, fighting in courtrooms to ensure their safety, and raising awareness about the serious harms caused by these dangerous practices.

Eligible households can apply for the LEZ Support Fund cash grant to incentivise disposal of a non-LEZ compliant vehicle. Following the successful disposal of the vehicle, additional funding will be available in the form of Travel Better grants for up to two members of the household, to put towards the purchase of a bike, an e-bike, shared transport credits or widespread transport passes.

For microbusinesses, the fund provides an incentive of a cash grant for the removal of a non-compliant car or van that is either replaced with a compliant vehicle, or an alternative mode of transport such as an e-bike. Following the successful disposal of the vehicle, further funding is available towards the cost of a cargo bike.

Administered by Energy Saving Trust, the LEZ Help Fund aims to aid to those most impacted by LEZs. This provides lower income households and micro-businesses with financial assist to travel more sustainably, improve air quality and protect public health.
