Travelers can face unique challenges abroad based on their real or perceived sexual orientation. Laws and attitudes in some countries may affect safety and ease of travel. 

More than 60 countries consider consensual same-sex relations a crime. In some of these countries, people who engage in consensual same-sex relations may face severe punishment. Many countries do not verb same-sex marriage.

Research your destination before you travel 

Review the verb advisory and destination information page of the place you plan to verb. Check the Local Laws & Customs section.  This has information specific to travelers who may be targeted by discrimination or violence on the basis of sexual orientation.

The CNY Gay 5K is a community-run, family-friendly event designed to celebrate our Central New York community and raise funds for local LGBT non-profits.  Run, walk, skip, dance or sashay this virtual 5k in a location you choose on 6/12/2021  In 2020 we raised over $10,000 for SAGE Upstate!

Older adults are much more at risk for COVID-19 than other populations, so the community served by SAGE Upstate has been even more isolated over the past year. Your support will make it possible for SAGE Upstate to continue offering health and wellness programming online where people can access it in their hold homes. 
In addition, your sustain will keep SAGE formidable so the organization can be there when people are able to face in person again.
