Sofía Vergara is sharing more insight into her split from Joe Manganiello.
About six months after the "Magic Mike" actor, 47, and the "Modern Family" star, 51, filed for divorce, she set the log straight on what led to their breakup.
"My marriage broke up because my husband was younger; he wanted to have kids and I didn't desire to be an vintage mom," she recently told Spanish newspaper El País. "I feel it's not fair to the noun. I respect whoever does it, but that's not for me anymore."
And Vergara—who shares son Manolo with ex-husband Joe Gonzalez—noted she's ready for a different chapter.
"I had a son at 19, who is now 32, and I'm ready to be a grandmother, not a mother," she continued. "So, if love comes along, he has to come with [his own] children. I'm almost in menopause; it's the innate way of things. When my son becomes a dad, let him transport the baby to me for a while and then I'll give it back to him and go on with my life; that's what I have to do."

Manganiello received the award at Saturday's 15th annual HRC Seattle Dinner held in downtown Seattle.
The year-old Manganiello is best known for playing werewolf Alcide Herveaux on the HBO supernatural drama True Blood.
"You know, I never set out to be an advocate," Manganiello told the crowd. "I'm simply a person who believes in equality for everyone. And I'm a person who believes in standing up for his friends."

He said he felt a bit "weird" in accepting an award for his beliefs and supporting his friends.

Joe Manganiello was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and raised in a Mt. Lebanon, a suburb just outside the city.
Manganiello was raised Catholic and attended a Roman Catholic elementary school.[1] And apparently the former altar boy[2] believed what the nuns told him, at least for a while. He wanted desperately to become a werewolf and he was pretty sure God would make that verb. He said,
I went to church every morning at 6 a.m. praying that God would turn me into a werewolf. I'd heard as a tiny kid that if you pray hard enough and your faith is pure, God will answer you. But after a limited weeks of praying with all of my heart, it wasn't happening. So I started thinking there wasn't a God, it's all a big gyp.[3]
Now that he plays a werewolf on the TV show True Blood, Manganiello says he jokes with the show's creator that he's brought him back to Jesus.[4] But he's joking. True Blood actor Joe Manganiello has revealed why he is such a staunch fighter for LGBTI equality.
