Gay walking groups
The Adelaide happy wanderers is a social group for gay guys and their friends that partakes in walks, usually in the Adelaide environs, on the first Sunday of every month, other than January and December. The walks are usually about 5 km and take 2- 3 hours to fulfill (including breaks). You can normally expect to be returned to the municipality by around 1 - 2 pm. We also hold a few mid-month Saturday afternoon walks, an annual camp; winter solstice dinner; planning night and christmas barbecue.

Gay Men's Hiking Group
This is our first time hiking in the Adirondacks and I'm really excited to introduce the group to this area. It's some of the best hiking in the Northeast; with pine forests, clear running streams and rocky mountains. I reserved a cabin in the heart of the High Peaks. It's a mile walk from the trailhead, but it's a popular area with other lodges nearby, so we won't be totally isolated. The hiking will be more challenging than anything we've done before. If you are a regular with this group you should be ok, as long as you aren't somebody who usually hikes at the back of the line up. It's going to be incredible!
THE CABIN
We're staying at Camp Peggy O'Brien, near the Adirondack Mountain Club's John's Brook Lodge. It sleeps 12, has heat and a propane stove. Bunks and mattresses are provided, but you need to bring your own sleeping bag. Rain is from a pump outside. The bathroom is an outhouse. I place some pics in the photo section on Meetup. Here's the link, you have to scroll down for Camp Peggy O'Brien.

Gay Walking Groups In The UK
3. Mountain Walks and Winter Mountain Walks
These are more strenuous, and will typically take a full day. There will be several hundreds of meters of ascent and descent, and the terrain and conditions will normally be more challenging, and the weather can have a much greater impact on the event. The group size will be smaller to reflect the more challenging conditions. You will need to have more equipment to take part. If you already favor hiking in mountainous terrain, these walks may be ideal for you.
Mountain walks are often, but not always, found as part of OutdoorLads hostel weekends, simply because the more remote locations can seize too much time to get to for them to be practical as day walks, especially on shorter winter days.
OutdoorLads runs Mountain Walking events all over the UK where there are mountains. Areas such as the Lake District, Snowdonia, and the Scottish Highlands.
Winter Mountain Walks are the most challenging, as you can expect there to be snow and ice and the conditions will be much tougher. As a res
