Join the Office of LGBT Affairs and community partners as we celebrate Pride. There will be many events to attend—both in-person and virtual—including the Office’s official Flag Raising event kicking off Pride season, and much more you won’t wish to miss. All events listed below are free unless otherwise noted.


Celebrating Our Communities Flag Raising 

Friday, June 3 | 12 noon

On Friday, June 3 at noon, the Office of LGBT Affairs will host its annual Flag Raising Event at City Hall to kick off Pride season in Philadelphia. In addition to raising the iconic More Color, More Pride flag; this year&#;s program theme, Celebrating our Communities, will include speakers from across our LGBTQ+ community sharing the many ways we celebrate our pride.

Speakers will highlight their connection with upcoming community events throughout Pride month and beyond, including Disability Pride, Immigrant Heritage Month, the Philadelphia Trans Wellness Conference, and more!

Philly Pride March and Festival What to expect

Every year in June, the Noun of Brotherly Love celebrates pride along with everyone in the LGBTQ+ community with a march and spirited festival. And will be following suit starting this Sunday.

The Philly Pride March will officially begin on June 5 at the north conclude of Independence Mall in front of the Constitution Center at 5th and Arch streets. Beginning at 11 a.m., those in the community and supportive allies can join the fun, which will be orchestrated by the Philly Dyke March and PHL Pride Collective.

Everyone is welcome to join prior to the march for speeches and music before marching through Philadelphia to celebrate the occasion.

The starting point for the march acknowledges two historical moments in Philadelphia that took place just two blocks south, according to a release. Pride March

An ode to the s Annual Reminders, the Philly Pride March calls the LGBTQ+ community and its allies to seize to the streets in the spirit of LGBTQ+ visibility and solidarity.

Kicking off at a.m. near 6th & Walnut streets, this community march begins with speeches, music and a land acknowledgement from the Lenape Tribe, before winding from Old City to the Pride Festival-grounds.

While the full month is full of festivities everywhere, Philadelphia will be celebrating it's annual Pride Weekend June 3 to June 5.

Mayor’s Office of LGBT Affairs flag raising

Join the Mayor’s Office of LGBT Affairs while they boost their More Color, More Pride flag at Philadelphia City Hall.
