The Seed Theatre is an inclusive safe space venue and tea & coffee shop where everyone is welcome. It operates under the umbrella of B4CK and focuses on the same goal - to offer safety to people who don't typically own it. Southern Pride is a recurring column that explores and celebrates LGBTQ+ culture in Southern cities. Today, we&#;re heading to the Volunteer State to check out the scene in Chattanooga. 

People are flocking to Chattanooga, TN, for its astonishing outdoor recreation as skillfully as its thriving art and startup scenes. But what many may not realize is that this cool city is also a Southern oasis for members of the LGBTQ+ community.

Suppose you are looking for a city to call home where inclusivity isn&#;t limited to a single neighborhood or a handful of shops but is instead infused throughout city life. In that case, Chattanooga is worth a second look.

Sweat and socialize at a supportive, colorful hike to Rainbow Lake. 

June Joli Jardin Pride Garden Party    

A do-not-miss Pride event from a sustainable, women-owned flower farm on Walden&#x;s Ridge on Signal Mountain. Enjoy cocktails, meet painting, shopping, and socializing in the Joli Jardin shop and neighboring alley.

Meet at 6 p.m. & Wheels Down at p.m.

These local favorites are co-hosting a special group ride to celebrate LGBTQIA+ folks and allies, and a portion of sales will be donated to The Seed Theatre! This ride is open to ALL humans on bikes. Two route options are available: one easy and one intermediate. A helmet and signed waiver (provided day of) are required to participate.
